Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) will change the name of its Engineering, Agriculture and Medicine Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET) to Engineering, Pharmacy, Agriculture Common Entrance Test (EPACET). The entrance exams will be known as Engineering, Pharmacy, Agriculture Common Entrance Test (EPACET) from the next academic year which is 2021-22. However, the exam date for EAMCET 2021 is expected to be announced soon on the official website. Admissions for medicine through the NEET 2021 examination will begin on 1 August 2021.
APSCHE conducts entrance exams for Engineering, Medicine and Agriculture courses in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Admission for the undergraduate course was conducted through NEET from 2017 even when the exam was conducted for medical aspirants. Hence, due to this reason, APSCHE has decided to change the name of the exam from Engineering, Agriculture and Medicine Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) to Engineering, Pharmacy, Agriculture Common Entrance Test (EPACET).
As per reports, a large number of candidates will appear for the exam across the state. More than 2 lakh candidates will appear for the exam this year. APSCHE is expected to release the admission notification for the year 2021-22 sometime in April 2021. The registration process for EPACET 2021 examination shall start in May 2021. The conducting university will release the exam dates soon on the official website for the exam.
