Application Submission Dates Extended For FDDI AIST 2020, Apply At


In view of COVID-19 pandemic, application date has been extended for FDDI (Footwear Design and Development Institute) AIST (All India Selection Test) exams till May 31, 2020, by FDDI. The original date for submission of application form was April 15, 2020 and exam was to be conducted on May 24, 2020. According to the official notification, FDDI AIST examination 2020 dates have also been cancelled by the institute. Revised date sheets will be announced in due course of time on the official website-

With the application submission dates being extended, it is very likely that admit card download dates will also be rescheduled.

Steps to apply for FDDI AIST 2020

  • Visit the official portal of FDDI-
  • On the homepage, under “Admissions” tab, click on “Apply Now”.
  • On the redirected page, register as a fresh candidate.
  • Then login using the credentials and fill the application form.
  • Upload scanned copies of images.
  • Pay the required amount of fee.
  • Download and print the application form of FDDI AIST 2020 for future reference.

FDDI (Footwear Design and Development Institute) came into existence in 1986, under the support and backing of Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Govt. of India. It was formed with the following objectives:

  • To build human resource for the country by providing adequate knowledge to strengthen the rapid growth of footwear and allied industry in the country.
  • To grant proper infrastructure for the Indian footwear industry and to aid it in achieving international standards.
  • To facilitate the growth of export production of quality footwear and allied products.

FDDI was conferred the status of “Institution of National Importance” under FDDI Act 2017. FDDI plays a pivotal role in providing education, empowering the Indian industry by improving skills in the areas of fashion, footwear, retail and Leather Accessory & life style.
