AMU Cancels Entrance Exam Due to Rising COVID-19 Cases

The Aligarh Muslim University has decided to cancel the entrance exam 2021 of AMU owing to the rapid number of rising COVID-19 cases in the country. As per the official authorities, a new schedule for the AMU entrance exam 2021 will soon be released on the official website of the Aligarh Muslim University. The AMU entrance test was scheduled from 20 June 2021 to 4 July 2021. However, the dates for the admission test for the PG department were not announced by AMU.

The official notification states, “In the view of resurgence of Covid-19 pandemic, the admission test schedule for session 2021-22 stands withdrawn.” The application form for Aligarh Muslim University will soon be released on the official website. Generally, the admission process for the University commences in the month of February or March. However, this year, it got delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The students staying in hostels have been asked to leave for their homes because of health concerns amidst the pandemic. In line with this, the university has also advised the students of all other streams to stay at home and attend classes and continue their research work online. The university also released a fresh COVID-19 guideline in which to urged all it employees above the age of 45 to get themselves vaccinated as per government advisory and medical guidelines.
