JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Strategy to get 270 Marks in Exam
Check the strategy to score 270+ marks in JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Exam given below.
Start answering Chemistry section initially and proceed towards Physics and Mathematics.
In Mathematics section, focus on the easy questions and keep the tough questions for later. This keeps your momentum going and you will feel confident. Even if you answer 12 to 13 questions correctly out of 25 questions, consider you have already scored well.
Chemistry is typically the easiest section to score in. Focus extensively on NCERT Class 11 and 12 textbooks, as direct theoretical questions are common. In Inorganic Chemistry, memorize trends and block chemistry (s, p, d, f) using mnemonics. In Organic Chemistry, prioritize understanding reaction mechanisms (GOC) and named reactions.
In Physics, aim for conceptual clarity over formula memorization. Approximately 70–75% of questions are formula-based, but they test the logic of application.
Mathematics is considered as the toughest and most time-consuming section. Regular practice is essential to build speed. Focus more on Coordinate Geometry, Calculus, Vectors & 3D Geometry, and Matrices & Determinants account for nearly 70% of the paper.
