The AICTE academic calendar for sessions 2021-22 has been released by the All India Council for Technical Education. Students can check the academic calendar on aicte-india.org, the official website of AICTE. Technical institutions, standalone PGDM/PGCM institutions, and institutes that offer ODL/Online courses will be granted approval by the council latest by 30 June 2021.
As per the official calendar, Universities can grant affiliations to technical institutions until 15 July 2021. Authorities will conclude the first round of counselling on 31 August 2021. Hence, classes for technical courses are scheduled to commence on 1 September 2021. Also, classes for technical courses for first-year students will start on 15 September 2021.
Classes for existing and new students at Standalone PGDM/PGCM institutes will begin on 1 July 2021. As per the academic calendar, the last date for admission to Standalone PGDM/PGCM institutes is 10 July 2021. However, first-year students can seek admission to courses until 1 September 2021, and the second session will continue until 1 February 2022.
The official calendar also stated, “The classes may be started in Online/Offline (Class Room) or Blended mode (Online + offline) following the prescribed protocols/guidelines related to the pandemic.” However, it also stated that the calendar might change due to the ongoing pandemic and guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Home & Ministry of Education from time to time.
