Exams and every step related to it could be tiring, confusing and frustrating at the same time. Everything has to be carried out with utmost care. Hence, here is a summary of the essential education-related exam news from the last week which you shouldn’t miss.

CUCET 2020 Provisional Answer Key Released: The Central University of Rajasthan released the CUCET 2020 provisional answer on 21 September 2020. Candidates who wrote the entrance examination, held from 18 September 2020 to 20 September 2020, can visit the official website cucetexam.in to download the provisional answer key. 

No NLAT Examination for Law Undergraduates: The apex court of justice in India quashed the NLSIU Bengaluru’s notification for a separate entrance exam, for admission to its five-year integrated BA LLB (Hons) programme. The Supreme Court ruled that CLAT 2020 will be the all binding entrance examination for admission into 22 National Law Universities (NLUs) in India.

UPSC IES Main 2020 Admit Card Released: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the UPSC IES Main 2020 admit cards online on 22 September 2020. Candidates who have applied for the Indian Engineering Services (Main) Examination, slated for 18 October 2020, can visit the official website upsconline.nic.in to download the admit cards.

KEAM 2020 Rank List Published by CEE Kerala: The Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala, has published the KEAM 2020 Rank List online for the candidates to check. The rank list has been published for Engineering and Pharmacy courses. Candidates who wrote the KEAM 2020 examination must visit the official website cee.kerala.gov.in to download the rank list.

Assam PAT 2020 Examination Date Released: The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Assam has released an official notification regarding the Assam Polytechnic Admission Test or PAT 2020 examination. According to the notification, the examination is all set to be conducted on 3 October 2020, between 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The admit cards for the examination will be released shortly. 

GAT-B 2020 Hall Ticket Released: The Regional Centre for Biotechnology has released the Graduate Aptitude Test – Biotechnology or GAT-B 2020 Hall Tickets on 23 September 2020. Candidates who have registered for the examination must visit the official website rcb.res.in to download the hall ticket. The examination is scheduled for 3 October 2020.

Unlock 4.0

Bihar to Resume Classes for Standards 9 to 12 Under ‘Unlock 4.0’: As per the order issued by the Bihar education board, schools can resume operation from 28 September 2020. There are specific protocols that schools need to follow to ensure safety for staff and students. Only the students from standards 9 to 12 will be allowed to attend the classes as of now. Under the fourth phase of ‘Unlock 4.0’, the national government has allowed the schools to resume classes if necessary. 

Haryana Government Has Allowed Colleges and Universities to Resume Functions from 26 September 2020: The higher education department of Haryana, on the consent of the Haryana government, has allowed universities and colleges to begin operation from 26 September 2020. The attempt will be a trial run that will test the feasibility of the effort. The authorities have also prepared a tentative timetable. Candidates who wish to attend the classes must go through the timetable.

Panjab University Postpones the Second Counselling Session Due to COVID-19: The admission into B. Pharm and B.Sc Hons. disciplines are being carried out through online counselling sessions, conducted by Panjab University. However, due to the spike in the COVID-19 cases, the authorities have decided to postpone the counselling until further notice.

NTA Releases JNUEE 2020 Exam Schedule: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the official schedule for the Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Examination (JNUEE) for the current academic session. Candidates who have successfully registered for the examination can visit the official website – jnuexams.nta.nic.in to view the schedule. The examination will begin on 4 October 2020 and last till 8 October 2020.

Important Reminder

Apply for GATE 2021 Before 30 September 2020 to Avoid Paying Late Fees: Interested candidates must note that the last date for filling the GATE 2021 application form is 30 September 2020, without the late fee. After this, a late fee of INR 500/- along with the usual application fee shall be applicable till 7 October 2020. Candidates must visit the official website appsgate.iitb.ac.in to register.
